- What does the page bring?
The webpage geologicacarpathica.sk is an electronic version of the international journal
Geologica Carpathica. The electronic version is identical with printed version. Some parts of the webpage are freely
available for every user (Table of contents, Authors, Keywords, Abstracts of papers). The access to full papers is possible
only after the registration of a user in Order and registration and after the payment for selected papers, numbers or volumes of
the journal.

- How to navigate in the page?
The navigation in the page is possible through the navigation menu on the left side of the page.
Table of Contents.
By clicking the Table of Contents a complete list of volumes and numbers available in electronic form will appear.
By clicking a selected volume Contents (Author and Title) of all numbers of that volume will appear.
By clicking a selected number complete Contents (Author and Title) of that number will appear.
By clicking a paper from the Contents Abstract of the paper will appear.
To get a full access to a paper you have to register and purchase the paper.
Authors.
By clicking Authors the alphabet appears and clicking a letter you will get the list of authors whose names start
with that letter.
Clicking a name, in turn, will show you the list of all author's papers available in electronic form.
Clicking a paper title will show the abstract of the paper.
To get a full access to a paper you have to register and purchased the paper.
Keywords.
By clicking Keywords the alphabet appears and by clicking a letter you will get the list of all keywords available in the
database of the electronic form.
Clicking a keyword, in turn, will show you the list of all papers containing that keyword.
Clicking a paper title will show the abstract of the paper.
To get a full access to a paper you have to register and purchase the paper.
Search.
Clicking Search will show a field for a string (word, name, title) to be searched. The Fulltext search requires to fill in a whole word. You can enter more words separating them by space. If you do not know the whole word or name use Advanced search, which accepts incomplete words.
Order and Registration.
Clicking Order and registration will show a form with fields to be filled in. Fill in the form.
Choose the words you would like to use for login and password. You will need to login to register and to have access
to pre-paid papers.
After filling in the form click the button Online if you wish to order the electronic version of the journal, or click the button Printed if you wish to order the printed version.
After that you will get to another part of the order. Here select and check the numbers or volumes you wish to order, then click the button Next.
After that you will get to the third part of the Order. Here you can check the data in the Order and choose
the method of payment - online or by sending the order to the Geological Institute.
Information on the payment or invoice you will get by mail.
Instructions to Authors.
Clicking Instructions to authors will open a pdf file containing instructions for authors wishing to publish in Geologica carpathica.
Login - Password.
The last field in the left side Menu is for already registered readers. Please, here write your login and password chosen during the first registration. After that you will get full texts of all prepaid numbers in pdf format. The access is via Table of contents/ Number/ Selected paper/Abstract - Download.

- How can I get access to full-text papers?
The access to full-texts you get by registration and filling the form in Order and Registration and by payment the price for selected papers / volumes of the journal. If you select single paper(s) they will be sent to you by e-mail.

- How to register?
If you wish to register the first time, fill in the fields in Order and Registration form. If you are already registered enter your login and password in the fields at the bottom of the navigation menu (at the left side of the screen). If you order new numbers without logging in, these numbers will not add to those already ordered and you will get a new account.
If you already have an account in our page, login always before making any orders.

- How to login?
Enter your login and password to the fields at bottom part of the navigation menu at the left side of the screen. After logging in a button Download will appear below Abstracts of the ordered papers. After clicking the button Download fulltext of the paper will be downloaded to your computer.

- How can I pay?
The payment for the access to fullexts can be realized on-line by a credit card. If you do not have the possibility to pay on-line, your order will be sent to the Geological Institute of the Slovak Academy of Sciences and you will get an invoice or you will be asked for further data.

- How can I do additional orders?
You can order additional numbers after logging in the Navigation menu at the bottom left (enter login and password). Your account will remain valid even after expiring your access rights to earlier ordered and paid numbers. The account will not be cancelled until one year after your last logging in.

- What to do if I forget my login and password?
If you forget your password or login contact us at the address

- How long do the full access rights last?
After the payment you will have the full access to the selected journal number(s) at least for two months via our webpage www.geologicacarpathica.sk During this term you can freely browse and read the selected numbers/papers or download them to your computer. If you purchase a new number before expiring this term you will get a minimum two months more of access to all already bought numbers (unless these had been expired already). When ordering new numbers it is necessary to login, even if the rights for erlier bought numbers had expired, because your account remains valid one year after the your last login.

- How to search?
There are two ways how to search:
1. Fulltext search is for quick searching. The field requires a complete word - title, author's name or keyword. The result is the list of papers containing entered word(s). The papers are listed in descending order according to number of occurrences of the searched word in the paper.
2. Advanced Search is for searching using more criteria. Entered may be: author's name, title of paper,
keyword or an arbitrary word (or they parts) we suppose occur(s) in the paper. This search is more precise than fulltext search.
Word(s) in every category are treated as strings, which have to occur in a searched paper (not as individual words as in Fulltext
search).
